There is a Radisson, Marriot, and the Wyndom hotel on Cable Beach

Atlantis is very expnsie and you would need to budget tightly on $4000.00. Vey beautiful hotel and lots to do though. Look at the Comfort on Paradise Island, I gues you can get the rooms cheaper, and have acces to Atlantis facilities.
There is a Hilton in downtown Nassau.
Nassua beach hotel is an old hotel but it is clean and prolly the least expensive. Try staying at Cable Beach or Paradise Island, to ensure maxium safety and enjoyment for the children.

Look at some of the other islands such as Grand Bahamas, Freeport or even for a real tropical vacation look at Eluthera, or some ot the other out islands.

hmmm..the atlantis in the bahamas is very nice but pricey depending on what tower you stay in. the cheapest tower i don't think will be over 4,000 because i stayed in the 3rd most expensive and that was close to 4,000. if u dont want to spend the money but love the resort there is a comfort in close to there where you can stay there and use the atlantis for free for a fraction of the cost. here is the atlantis website:

i've been on vacation and i think "Marriot" is the best its very clean there.

Try the Sheraton or Wyndahm at Cable Beach, or the Comfort Suites at Paradise Islnad (CS allows access to Ataltnis) . Sunrise Villas on Paradise Island are also a nice way to spend a family beach vacation.

The Bahamas are not cheap.. but there are certainly ways to keep the costs down. A villa is a good way to keep the cost of food down..

Since you are taking children I recommend the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island. I recently went there on my honeymoon. It is very family oriented. They are basically a waterpark, with a hotel on the beach. The kids will love it.
There are different rooms to choose from to help with your budget. We went and spent only 2500 including airfare. We did however buy the air line tickets right from the airline and not the resort. Saved 50 bucks a ticket.
I recommend getting the meal plan. I know that 80 bucks a day a person sounds like a lot of money... but trust me, 3.25 for a can of coke.. adds up very quickly. Plus then there is 12.50 for a hamberger. The food is outragous. If we ever go back we are definately getting the meal plan!
