I would recommend the french west indies!
Martinique or Guadeloupe are the territorry overseas of the french!
Martinique is the less poor island of the small Antilles. |

I would recommend a Dutch island.
The reason for that is, there is less poverty.
Less poverty means less beggars.
Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saint Maartin.
They speak English, love Americans, have great medical faclities, and follow the rule of law. Also the ABC islands are below the hurricane belt, and have great weather all year. |

Well it depends on what you like really. But tourists are pretty safe in the islands anywhere you go and the kids will most likely have lots of fun. So why not try Antigua kind of unknown so its not so hussle bussle like Jamaica or Barbados. |

I don't know if these count, but I went to the Bahamas, St Maarten and St Thomas on a cruise with my parents. I think that the Bahamas had really nice beaches and seawater that wasn't too salty to swim in. There were really nice shops too. |
