This question gets asked a lot. I always tell people that the best place is the place that is best for them. Decide what it is you want in a resort and find the resort that fits you. Go to TripAdvisor.com and you can find information on every resort on the island. Most tourists go to Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios or Runaway Bay (between MoBay and Ocho). However, many do go to other places on the island. Decide what it is you want in a resort and you can begin to narrow down your search. But again, go to TripAdvisor.com and you will learn LOTS about every resort there. |

depends on what you're looking for
....looking for all-inclusive pampering? try a hotel in ocho rios, negril, mobay or trelawny
.....looking for something more simple / want to really experience the island? stay at a small guest-house or with a family. go on tours, hiking in the blue mountains, walk around, visit the old capital (spanish town) to see some older architecture, go lime cay and port royal!
.....want to experience the real jamaica? stay in kingston. walk downtown. lol maybe
but it really depends on what you want from your jamaican vacation.

MONTEGO BAY!!! everything is down there and the airport is right there too. my aunt is at a strange place called liliput and thats a beautiful place too. |

We stayed at the Sunset Grande Jamaica. it was really nice. But Ochos rios is really far from the airport. If I ever go back, I'll be staying in Montego BAY or Negril.

Any Riu Resort if u mean a hotel.... if you need a place as in resort town Ocho Rios or NEgril if you want the hype life... for laid-backness try port antonio. |
