Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island is gorgeous and with so much to do - it's been voted the best Caribbean vacation spot and best family beach vacation spot by Travel magazines. Check out the website - www.atlantis.com
The resort is gorgeous, the beach is beautiful, the restaurants are plentiful (over 20 at the resort), there is a huge waterpark within the resort, a beautiful marina where yachts dock to stay, and you'll never be bored there! |

If you want to experience the Bahamas, and still enjoy a resort, then I suggest the Cable Beach area near Nassau (Wyndham, Sheraton, Sandals, Breezes etc) , or Lucaya in Freeport. Both have great beaches and plenty of hotels.
If you want an American Theme park with waterslides and no cultural ambiance, then stay at Atlantis on Paradise Islands. It's a crowded, sprawling, ultra expensive compound.
If you want to experience the REAL bahamas, then venture out to one of the out islands. Harbour Island, Eleuthera, Abaco or Andros for a start.. There are abourt 35 inhabited islands.. about 10 that are tourist destinations. |

Any of the out islands or family islands. New Providence is 21 X 7 and has over 250,000 people living on it. If you have to go to New Providence (Nassau) then stay in either Cable Beach or Compass Point. |
