The hurricane/rainy season is from June 15 to Nov 15 but in January you might still get some showers. No one can say for sure if it will rain or shine and the dark cloudy might only be present if there is going to be rain. The clouds usually drift away. It will only be a bit cooler at night but that does not pertain to you since you will be on the ship.

You will certainly get a tan but to do so you must go to the beach. Do not lie all day with sun tan lotion on your back but go in the water. When you go in the water and comes back out you will see that you will tan easily. Within one day you will see the difference. You do not even need any sun tanning lotion but you will need sunblock to protect you skin from the rays of the sun.

It's perfect weather. It's hot, but not unbearably so. If you are coming from a cold country, you'll find it hot. As it is not the rainy season, there will only be a few clouds adorning the sky. You'll get a tan all right!

Beardo
That is the coldest time of year. So it depends a lot what you are comparing it to.

I LOVE the weather in the Caribbean in January. It is warm and sunny but not humid. You can definitely tan. While we were there the weather was perfect.

There is no cold winter in the caribbean. Average January temperatures are only about 5 degrees cooler than in the hottest months. Temperatures should be in the 80's.

You can get clouds and rain any time of the year, but it tends to be brief showers mixed with sun. January is not the rainy season.

Its cooler in January in ANTIGUA for example, than the rest of the year but its still pretty hot. Its perfect weather about 28 Celcius. Doesn't usually rain, very sunny
