It is known as rainy season but i got married out there in mid September and we had only two days of rain but only for short period and then dried up really quickly still came back with a lovely tan so up to you i suppose ??? |

It rains most days in the afternoon for about one hour then back to sunshine with the odd thunderstorm on some days in puorto plata we are going again at the end of September hope to see you there |

We normally go mid Oct and we do get rain but it is short and sharp - and its so warm its sometimes welcome. It doesnt pour down all day, so when you read in the brouchure XX mm of rain fall I guess its representing the short sharp bursts - as a lot of rain does come down but its over within mins, and all dry again within a few more |

It's Hurricane Season in all the Caribbean but the temperatures are in the 80's and Sunny. |

we went at this time and it is rainy season, however it would only rain for about 10 mins then it would dry up really quickly most of the rain was at night and the thunder storms were great to watch. |

Here we have a saying: here the brigthest day rains " Aqui el dia mas claro llueve", it can rain any day, and when yoy least expect it. but most likely the weather is proper to visit beaches, cause is always hot. |
