I went in July and the weather was fabulous, really, really hot, and humid, but depending where you go, there was a lovely breeze, we only had two dounpours in three weeks, each lasting about five minutes, everything was soaked, but within half an hour, it was all bone dry again. Also, July is not in the hurricane season. I know some of the resorts charge extra for air conditioning, unless you can cope with sleeping in very hot and humid conditions, I would seriously consider paying the extra, we did, and I was sooo glad.

I have been there twice for July. The weather is perfect hot, humid like others Caribbean islands. We did not pay extra for A/C, we stayed at 5* all inclusive hotels. It is usual that may rain a little in the Caribbean, we are in a tropical island but it is just for minutes. nothing to bother your vacations. Enjoy DR. and also visit PR, nearby.

Weather in the Dominican Republic is warm to hot all year long. During the rainy or hurricane season, there are often storms. July is an early part of the hurricane season.

well... in July is the season when hurricanes are most like to hit the island so that will definitely make it hot but don't worry if the people who live there stand it you can too ;)
Besides there are plenty of near beaches and tourist centers you can enjoy

The weather in July is fabulous! no much rain (5 min) everything OK!
Normally you don“t have to pay for AC in a all inclusive resort!
It will be the case in a cheap hotel maybe!?
I“m a VIP tour operator.
