When I was 19 I took a 7 day southern Caribbean cruise with my mom. I've been on four, and have really enjoyed them. Some of the things I did was rent a jet ski, eat good sea food, take tours of islands, visit museums, go to shows on the cruise ship every evening, look at fine art, and I shopped a lot. I loved to wake up early, and watch the sun rise as we pulled into a new port. Avoid drinking even though you will be of legal age on the islands, it will lead to more problems than anything else while on vacation.

My advice is to just go with the flow. Take Dramamine for sea sickness, even though the ships have stabilizers to help prevent it. Be polite and take plenty of pictures. Read up on the history of each island, and show respect for the inhabitants. I've read about nearly every island in the Caribbean, and have been to 16 islands myself. Also, enjoy the music by the pool side. They have Calypso music, it's basically the same thing as reggae.

Swim, sunbathe, eat, get to know other travellers, read, there will be some kind of entertainment in the evenings, caberet or such like. I'm sure you won't get bored. Enjoy yourself!

during the day you totally relax in the sun, go swimming stuff like that. at night theres fancy dinners, dancing, shows, and i'm pretty sure the drinking age is 18 on international waters.
I just got back from a cruise 2 weeks ago (my 4th) and they are so much fun! bring books, magazines, a camera and you're set.

Well the drinking age is 18 once you get out to sea; but take it easy! There are plenty of activities for people of all ages to participate in on cruises...it's a playland for everybody!!

OMG! There are pools, beaches and babes. I can't imagine an age that a cruise would not be fun! They have teen bars on the ship to hang out with people your own age. They have comedy shows, magic shows and feasts fit for a king. You will have the time of your life. I guarantee it.

Gamble? No way. Have you heard of age group activities? if not, call your cruise line and asked them to give you a list of the activities you will encounter while cruising. Most important, this info will let you pack your bags with the proper clothes. Yes, you can probably gamble, but that is not the only thing you will have on a ship. Bring a couple of good movies to relax in your room after you come back from all those activities. HAVE FUN, I envy you!!Enjoy

Just enjoy the luxury. Not everyone can go on a cruise, this is a blessing dear. You will probably find quickly and hang out with others your age. You can all have fun together. You might even find romance. There are alot of people on these ships so you are sure to find and connect with some people your own age. Enjoy Honey, just enjoy the experience.

You could also bring along a video camera and record people doing dumb **** without them knowing....etc...

Eat and have fun, dance etc...You will meet someone!!!

i haven't been on one myself, but first of all, WOW!!!! sounds wonderful!!!
i have heard they have surfing on the ship, they will have all kinds of things for you to do :) you will love it, i'm sure!!!

bring a friend... i went on a cruise last november and i was bored alot of the time because the ships are so big that you kinda get lost... Even though i went with friends because of the fact that we were on different floors with no phones half of the time i was always looking for someone...

There are literally tons of things to do. First of all, there's food everywhere. Swimming, working out, game room, library, dance club, plus endless activities.

It will be tons of fun, regardless if you "do" any thing!! Try and just relax, go swimming, sneak drinks (if you drink) and enjoy the sites!! Their will be a lot of people from all over, socialize and meet new people, if you are single their will, more than likey, be many young guys on board.
Your 18, so spend some time with you mother, in a few years yall will grow apart because of college or marriage or work, and you will miss being close to her. Try and make the most of a vacation alot of Americans never get the chance to take.
The only way you will not have a good time is if you try not to!

If you don't go on the cruise with your boyfriend, or at least some friend/friends you really like, you'll just get bored pretty quickly and maybe even seasick.

well lets start off with the cruise ship! Grandeur Of The Seas is for more like old people and couples there really arnt many people your age! Carnival Cruise are usually the best they are the ones with people more of your age! but besides that you can do a lot of stuff! You can hit the clubs in the ship! do all the activities that they have there! Work out! You can buy alcohole (expensive tho) get to meet new people! your going to eat a lot! O and once you hit the islands make sure to have fun at the cities you anchor! they have fun stuff to do! like hiking, swinging, jumping into caves with parachoot! o yeah and make sure to smoke a blunt once you get there! its a tradition over there! o and get your hair braided! hope that helps! You could meet some cute boys and hang out with them. There are many things to do on a cruise. There are always shops, restaurants, you can lay out by the pool, enjoy the gorgeous scenery, and if there is a nightclub on the cruise ship you may be able to go dancing but not drink.
