Negril, hands down!!!!!
Lots of people go to Jamaica and visit Mo Bay and Ocho as well as a few other places, but it's in Negril where you're gonna find people that have been going there for 20-30 years. There IS a reason for that!
And if you go to Negril, don't mess it up by staying at an all-inclusive place, you'll miss 80% of that little chunk of paradise. Check out negril.com for a list of cool little hotels on the beach and the cliffs. |

All of the above answers are good places to visit but they are overfilled with tourists, hustlers and all of the normal things that go along with the hustle and bustle. The BEST place to visit is the South Coast, Treasure Beach area. Laid back locals, soft beaches, NOT crowded at all, SAFE really no crime at all. Felt safe walking at night. Everyone in the community was welcoming and friendly. We had the entire beach to ourselves all day many days. We stayed at Vikings House for about $40 a day. Check out

anywhere on the north coast is absolutely wonderful to visit.
i should know because i live here on the eastern end. i like to go there to cool out with my friends and family it's beautiful, imagine i live here and dont get the chance to explore the other side of my own country. amazzzzzzzing |

I have heard Negril is absolutely beautiful. DO NOT GO TO MONTEGO BAY! I was there and did not feel safe enough to even leave the resort. |

montego bay is beautiful. i went there a few years ago. there are many places to go touring, and it is beautiful weather. windham rose hall is a great resort there. |

Honestly, it is hard for me to say. I would say Negril, Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. But then again, there are areas in Port Antonio and St. Elizabeth that are not as famous, but are equally amoung the nicest!
It may depends on your preferences. Are you coming for a relaxing vacation, for excitement or a mixture.
It also depends again on the actual hotel you are staying too. Take a look at the other responses too.
