What services would most benefit the people of Jamaica?

Jamaica really needs companies that will smash the monopoly that's taking place. need another electric company caz the only one we have is JPasS and another water company n a cable company would be good caz we're almost on the verge of having only one and it's a ray of sunshine! (note the sarcasm)

A new power company. Right now JPS is literally robbing Jamaican's and they have no recourse.

I woudl recommend building "closed curcuit" power supply systems that serve entire gated communites at competitive rates. JPS has a legislated monopoly on all-island distribution, but if you could develop ways to generate power to specific communities of perhaps, 30 or more homes at a time without using JPS infrastructure, you could strike gold.

You could partner with housing developers to put in 'self-powered' housing schemes, that would fall just outside the legal terminology of JPS's monopoly license. JPS would hate you but legally they would be powerless to stop you.

You could also install "Electricity Card" systems that would allow people to buy power, as simply as they buy phone credit. Special electricity meters woudl read the cards and stop working when the credit is finished. Electricity cards would be sold at community stores.

A good academy to teach tourist how to prepare jerk chicken. I would enrroll in these courses if they were offered.

There are not alot of job opportunities. I'm trying to figure a way to help out too. So far I've donated clothes, fragrances..etc stuff like that but I want to do more. If I come up with any ideas I'll re-edit this comment.

Mavado donated 2 computers to each school in Jamaica cause internet is important and the more computers the better so if your into that kind of stuff maybe you can try and raise money and put towards helping out schools by providing what schools are lacking and in need of.

Or maybe you could start a record label and try to help out aspiring or upcoming Artistes cause music is one of the main things in Jamaica. People are trying to make it. Having a studio and finding Artistes would help out a bit and hopefully have peoples' dreams fullfilled who always wanted to Sing or Deejay or both.

Jamaica the only good business is hotel resorts,anything else i do not recommend and if you think the Bahamas forget it, bad tourist service,they hate foreigners'' the prime minister lure foreigners to buy an invest in their country once you make the investment you will discover the dark-side of the beautiful Bahamas. why because I live there and loose all my life savings. all the bahamians people are in great stress because of their inhumane government the crime and women rape is the highest in the world for a small country is a real shame. and their politicians travel the whole world being plausible appearing worthy of belief but ridiculously tendency to lie. good luck.

Don't know how to make money off this, but what Jamaica needs more than ANYTHING : Customer service ! Everywhere you go, you get blank stares, and bad attitude. The more you complain, the more you get blank stares. Slow as cold honey too, no ones in a hurry to get you through. They seem to think " I'm getting paid the same amount if I'm quick & good or slow and bad " so they continue slow & bad.

Jamaica never wants the name 3rd world, but they continue to act 3rd world & don't care. If Jamaica ever acted they they REALLY cared & were a little faster, HEY, they MIGHT just make it to the 21st century.

Start a customer service school, you go broke, no one would come ! LOL
