i wore an old pair of Reeboks and a pair of ankle socks (I didn't own a pair of water shoes, nor do i want to). it was a couple of years ago that i was there and if i recall properly they had lockers to store your belongings in that you didn't want haul with you or that you didn't want to get wet.

after you complete the falls, asks your cabby to take you to Bippy-Bip's Cafe for lunch. it is a nice place that no one other than the locals really frequent since it is a little out of the way. it has a nice outdoor patio high above the bay. nice view.

water shoes of any kind be it the ones for the beach, crocs, or water proof sandals. Anything waterproof with a good grip at the bottom. That is of course if you intend to climb the falls. If you dont them just normal beach stuff.

Note you can climb the falls without them, that is after all what we locals tend to do. However if you leave yours and decide to rent them when you are there you will be charged an arm and a leg for them.

Also very important is the fact that there is a local rate and a tourist rate. the tourist rate tends to be a little less than twice as much as the local rate. so if it is at all possible for you to befriend some locals at the gate you could save some money. OR if you are adventurous you could just practice up you 'yeah man's or your ' a ochi mi *** from' s in response to the person at the gate. DO NOT SAY IRIE. Jamaicans rarely use that word in generaly conversation, except when referring to a popular radio station.

Water shoes!! And make sure you bring them because some of the rocks are slippery.
THey do provide you with lockers there - so anything you are carrying with you can be locked up.
I would suggest though getting one of those waterproof holders that you can wear around your neck for your key card. You can get them at any sporting goods store - and they even sell them on the ship.
It is great fun - make sure you spend the extra $25 for the video at the end - it was worth it. They video tape you going all the up with your group - some funny shots!!

u should carry money..they have gift shops and ice cream and food stores.

carry your swimsuit so you can enter the water and climb the falls in.

i personally climbed the falls barefoot but you can wear sandals there and change into those "wet shoes" i think theyre called

carry suntan, towel & most importantly a camera 2 remember the memories

HAVE FUN!

Not being a fashion geru, I don't know the name of the plastic shoes that look something like wooden shoes in Holland, but those or booties (I think that's what they are called) are best. As for what else to bring, anything that you don't mind getting wet.

miggyboo2
You must have water shoes if your'e going to climb the falls, you can take your own or you can buy or rent them on location. Other than that just your regular beach stuff. There are lockers to store your stuff.

Something to keep in mind is that the water on the falls and right beneath it is fresh water, while a few feet out it is actually sea water.

Enjoy yourself!!!!
