It is not a realitic goal. The standard of living in Jamaica is much harder than in the U.S.
If I were you, just save enough money to travel.

You can go to college and still go to Jamica. First you have to save up to go to Jamaica, then you can apply for college there, and you can get a new job there.

well, if i were you i would take a year off of school to travel and really find out what you want to take in college. moving to jamaica isn't really realistic unless you are very familiar with the country or have friends down there that can help you. you're young, without a family and other obligations, so it would be best to travel while you still can. good luck-hope i helped

how about go to school and then on breaks, go down and research jobs and housing in Jamaica, etc. you may decide if it is or isn't the place for you while you make progress on a degree. further, you can find out what jobs are needed in jamaica. (i'm guessing medical, i.e. nursing, MD, teachers, etc.) and you could gear your education toward that.

school cuz education can heip u get a great job and help u for life!! but u could do both by doing internet classes!! collage is a big time thing so take internet classes becuz if u dont u wot get a job wont have money and wont have a home!! hope that helped!!

if you are not really into school right now, then take some time off. a good way to get your feet wet would be to go on a tour of jamaica with other people your age. it could be to travel or you could do some type of volunteer work. moving to jamaica all by yourself may not be such a goo idea but you can travel and see lots of places and then make up your mind. school will be there but dont wait too long to go back. when you do go to school, you can major in something like international health or any field that you can combine some element of travel. best wishes.

Since you like to travel and you need to work also, one option would be to continue your studies in the US (Iâ€™m assuming you are in the US) and get your certification for ESL (English as a second language). There are many places you can go with this certification and have a job and a place to live for a specified period of time. Many companies will pay your room and board along with a salary. You can sign a contract for 1-5 years for a specific area. You can finish your degree when you are ready to return home. Search the internet for â€œteaching abroadâ€.

Also, you can choose to be an Au Pair. This is basically a nanny inside and outside the US. It would help to have certification in CPR and first aid. You can choose which country and for how long. These are great opportunities for people who love children and travel. Search the internet for â€œau pairâ€.

You also might consider work on a cruise ship.

What about an international study program? Then you can study, work on your education and travel all at the same time!

Nothing beats a good education.. but not traveling while young is something that many mature people regret. If you can combine travel and an education.. that would be even better!
