Pirates of the Caribbean is a movie trilogy starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and other influential actors as the movie/s progress.
It is set in the late 1600's, in the Caribbean and is based on an attraction named Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World.
The movies follow the whimsical, action packed and often hilarious adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).
As a pirate, Jack is a charming and witty character who would rather try talk his way out of a fight rather than put sword to sword (although he is good at that too). However his charisma is deciteful and Jack is known to back out of (or rather, find a way out of) his promises.
The movies portray old pirate legends into a modern take on the life of a pirate.
I don't want to tell you to much else in case you want to see the movies, but basically the movies follow Jack on his adventures through the Caribbean as he becomes part of complex storylines involving his once beloved ship, the Black Pearl, the old sea legend of Davy Jones, the uncharted seas,, pirate lords, curses, betrayal, love, rum,a battle to keep pirates ruling the seas, and of course the people (who provide excellent depth and interesting veiws to the films) he meets along the way.
Definately recomend you see the films and/or theme park attraction!

You obviously don't see allot of mainstream films. (I'm saying this in the nicest way possible). Pirates of the Caribbean is a movie trilogy that stars Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom..The films were based off the popular ride at Walt Disney World. |
