The problem did not just arise in the last 2 months . It has been breeding for over 17 years now with a new regime you are expecting overnight changes? Unless the new Prime Minister was able to part the Red Sea and change water into wine my friend be patient and DO BE A PART OF the solution I urge you.

Someone once said Ask not what your country can do for you but what can you do for your country. What are you doing to make changes? The government alone cannot do it . It needs support and more than anything else a democratic process in which citizens like yourself will be heard. Speak with your MPs office. Ask what is happening around specific issues. And by the way do have a specific issue. Is it education? Is it the health care system is it the way old people or mentally chanllenged people are treated. Just don't make blanket statements and expect that the people in government will understand what you mean.

AND I HOPE YOU VOTED IN THE LAST ELECTION OR ELSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN!!!!!

BJ -Micheal Manley mash up Jamaica from in the 70's when he wanted Jamaica to become a communist country that is the time all the war started to escalate.

Crime was always high in Jamaica but now it becomes a serious issues. Other countries are poorer than Jamaica and have less crime. I think the crime in Jamaica is spiritual. Jamaica had some of the wickedest and rebellious slaves from Africa. Also when the pirates came to Jamaica prostituting like Sodom and Gomorrah (Port Royal) it was one of the wickedest city in the world.

It is very unrealistic to expect that any government leader can take office and change a country in a matter of weeks. Jamaica has had problems for a long time and it is going to take many more years for it to improve. First of all, the government should take some drastic measures to punish the criminals and any corrupt police officers. The government also needs to make sure that all foreign investors who make a fortune in Jamaica have to give back in some way. The gap between the rich and the poor has grown and poor people are desperate and angry. That is a sure formula for vicious, criminal behaviour. Those who are rolling in wealth don't seem to care about the poor as long as they are living the high life. You simply don't hear about a lot of wealthy Jamaicans doing things to help the poor. Don't blame one politician for this chaos. There are a lot of people to be blamed, including those people who have no respect for law and order. As for the person here (Ricky Ricardo) who spoke about rebellious slaves, please go back and read your history books. How could slaves be anything but rebellious? Would you be satisfied being in bondage? It is that same spirit to survive that Jamaicans have to use to make the country better.
