looks like they still going ahead an do it even though they cutting down there work force by 13% worldwide. me i watch ccn planet in peril an it had an smelter in peru it was dangerous as hell ppl dying an **** whilst the one in the u.s.a was cleaner an everything |

all dem concern about is ah lil 10days wuk while dey building de plant. Jus so dey cud buy ah "Tims" and jink "double dog". Not one of dem or dey dog go get ah wuk wen it done build cuz dem plant does run on auto.
But doh worry man soon all dem south pan side go blaze up cuz it have man/woman with 3 hand and ah extra foot. Meanwhile Mannish and he family go move to Germany. Trust meh we go pay in more ways than one when dem plant done build. |

I am very concerned. We all know how multinationals operate. They look for Thrid World countries where saftey and environmental regulation is lax. This considerably reduces the cost of their operations and hence they make bigger profits. Meanwhile the population of the host nation suffers.
Also it has been reported that ALCOA has reduced its staff by 13,500 because the demand for aluminum products worldwide has fallen significnatly. Do we have any indication that demand will rise again in afew years? If not then why in heaven's name are we building an aluminum smelter? |

The thing as citizens and people we do not have a choice about the smelter coming to TnT it will be here no matter what and no matter who says anything.

De smelter is what Manning wanted to put in Cedros? Or is it a next project I hear about last year that he want to build in Point Fortin?
On a next thing now.... I nearly die wid laugh when I read dat Manning *now* want to start working on de old airport terminal.... He say T&T go need it to host all dem big dignitaries and thing that will be flying down T&T for the summits this year.... How de tail he go know 'bout the thing all last year and he wait til January--- when the first meeting is gon' drop in 3 months (April)??? |
