When we were growing up we ( my sister, my cousin and I) had a Nancy Drew club. We "solved" mysteries around our neighborhood by stalking grownups, lurking around corners and scribbling furiously into our little notebooks.

We followed our gardener Cyril for days desperately trying to find out what he did with the coconut oil he used. (When we found out he put it in his hair, we were more than a little disappointed)

My sister and I used to go by our cousins for the August holidays every year. They lived at the base of the San Fernando Hill on Circular Road so we had place to play fuh so. We played all of those things you guys mentioned when we were outside but when it rained we had to get creative, so would get old sheets and play Mastana Bahar!! The girls used to dress up and perform and my cousin Gary was the judge. Talk about kicks!! One set ah Indian words yuh never hear before and one set ah notes yuh doh ever want to hear again!! LOL

Yep mine too, hop scotch, hide & seek, red light green light 123..lolz.. & of course playin cards.. go 2 pack..

oh & I used tuh enjoy runnin behind meh grandpa chickens & ducks & ting and sprayin dem dong wit d hose, juss tuh see dem run and scatter..lol..

O yea @ TS..I forget bout snakes & ladders.. I used to play wit jep too..I used 2 pelt dem wit stone & run inside..until I get sting...

i real like red light green light, farmer in the den too! and oh jeez scootch!!!!

Rounders.

And Frigg ah like yuh source "was a miserable chile when I was small", but I think it should read "I ah misarable chile wey yuh see meh." lol

Ah remember playing ( forgive de spelling) peesay, moral, hoop (hide and seek now dey say). getting a long piece ah bull grass and playing skip with dat and marble pitching.
Ohhh those were de days......

Rounders was my favourite. We spent many a Saturday playing ONE game of Monopoly. Oh geez... that game could be LONGG!!
