Pretty much the same all over the world, depending on where in the Caribbean.

It's school, work, leisure.

As for hobbies, people play football (which is soccer), but they call it football there, play cards (sometimes gambling, even watching). Going to beach(es).

Sometimes it involves shopping. Of course, hanging out with a person or people.

Your hobbies are your choice. There are sports depending on the individual and the income bracket (golf and sailing for the wealthier, fishing, swimming and snorkelling for the rest, with a range of possibilities between). Dominoes (played loudly)are very popular among men. Some people make music and others go in for handicrafts. Caribbeans are not great readers. You can hang out with friends, invite people to your place and be invited back in return. Church on Sunday.

Daily life can vary from person to person really..it depends on their life really...but basically, people hang out, also termed 'lime' in the lower antilles, like on the street or street corner.Obviously if you're in a rural area things would be hard.I mean really,if you're moving from america to a rural area, its waaay different, the temp causes bugs, mosquitoes really, that come up at night, those alone can bug you out.

You should really go ovr to the place you want to be living in before you move there.seriously.If you're gay do not go to jamaica.I heard they beat you down if you are..I'm from trinidad, and in certain areas there's a bit more erm..respect for gays.Just a bit.If you're in the urban area (port of spain) you'l be just fine, pos is completely different from the other areas of trinidad. Its like an urban area, but got an island twist to it..its nice.

oops ok!
well not all Caribbean people are all about the ganja, yeah its laid back, but there's lots of outdoor activities, music events etc and struggle of daily life.

I LOVE it there as i can relax, pure parties, invites etc etc pure vibe.
and remember that ain't the stereo type we all smokin GANJA huh.

lancashiretasty
they're all to laid back to be thinking of hobbies...'cept maybe smokin the ganga..

Most Islands are native english speakers. They play cricket and English football not that american crap.

alana:)
you shouldn't move there...it's really hot and humid, and real sunny...i suggest you go somewhere else, like florida,if you want some sunny weather....you shouldn't go and besides, most people in the caribbean don't speak your language....there are no hobbies, just swim,etc...
