Now, I shall try to answer your question.
Very simple. We have a comunist government, ruled by fidel kastro, that seized power by force 50 years ago and created the worst tyranny we have ever suffered.

The regime is an economic disaster. Nothing works, although some people try to shift blame and say that it is because of the embargo, but that is one of the lies that comunism is so expert in creating

We have no freedom at all. The State rules EVERYTHING.
If you disagree with fidel, they shoot you, torture you , put you in jail, or deport you

By the way, fidel kills civilians, non civilians, anyone, not for oil, but just for not agreeing with him. Personally I consider that a little bit more worse

Eric G, I don't think we are going to be so lucky. fidel is as hard as nails and refuses to join his ancestors. We have been waiting for him to close his eyes for almost 50 years

Well Fidel Castro is really sick and about to die thankfully so he is giving his leader ship of the country to his brother which will probably make it worse!

The recent discussions about Cuba in in comparison to what some predict will happen to the US with Obama as president because of his socialistic views.
When Fidel Castro ran for Presidency of Cube he spoke of "change" for their country. He spoke of spreading the wealth much like Obama.
In retrospect Cuba did change. But according to it's citizens not in a good way.
The theroy of spreading the wealth in Cuba has back fired and it has only succeeded in spreading the poverty. Visually Cuba is lagging behind in Development. On their streets you don't see new cars, you see 1957 Chevys and unemployment is extremely low.
Hopefully the forecasters for our country will be wrong in predicting that this is the direction that the US is headed with all the talk of the socialistic changes coming our way.
