There is never a bad time to vacation in Cuba. It's actually always a good time. Prices do tend to go up as with all travel deals during high season such as December and March. Prices go down towards summer and fall. And by the beginning of September, crowds lessen at the resorts until December.
April - June is hot but not as humid....July the temperature with humidity picks up...it's not as intense as many think. By the water you will always have a refreshing breeze.
You don't usually have to worry about hurricanes during hurricane season. Most of the time I travel to Cuba, it's around that time and have not had any problems. They are always prepared to protect anyways and will never leave any tourists or citizens unprepared and unprotected.
If it rains, it's only a few minutes in the day (if during the day)...but it's a welcoming cooling effect from the hot day. It will rain mostly at night for maybe half an hour and then stop, then rain while you're asleep. It's just beautiful there.
The water is beautiful all year round and you can swim no problem, even if it's the dry season. However, some areas may be a little cooler than other areas. The Cayos (the keys) are always warm. Cuba's beaches are clean and the water is clear turquoise and soft white sand....all year round.
Richard gave you some great links....I'll add some more for you to view as well so you have a well-rounded picture of Cuba.
Don't worry about what others say. There are always people finding ways to be negative. Cuba isn't the only communist country in the world. And the US DOES support other communist countries and travel there too....but somehow Cuba is all they know lol.
Have an amazing time in Cuba amiga! |

For the people above who said dont travel. Dont assume shes American and unable to travel there.
Anyways its always great to travel to Cuba. Hot and Sunny weather all year round:) I usually go in the summertime just because I have the most free time then. You wont have any problems going, have a great time! |

The best time to visit Cuba is April -May- June.
In July and August it can be very hot and most tourist are not
familiar with these temperatures.

And too, for the people who stated she could not go, or asserted she should not go, ... even if she is american, she could go under a general license or a specific license so long as she qulaifies, ... which is not too difficult. |

Anytime is a good time, although if you are in a Northern climate the winter does give a break from the cold. In the shoulder season, spring and fall or the summer you can get better prices Take a look at the sites below there is lots of info there. If you go once, chances are you will return. |

It also depends what you want to do. I've been to resorts but now I rent a little rooftop apartment in a small town, and that's good in any season.
Tourists swim all year although the locals think it's too chilly! The summer always has the threat of hurricanes, which can be interesting too.... |

never..stop supporting a communist country..as an american you cannot visit Cuba, unless you have family there..people who vacation there are only making the communist country more money.. |

Visiting Cuba for vacation? Well there goes a few more dollars for a Communist Dictatorship. Have fun though. |
