When is the best time to go on a cruise in the Caribbean?

My sister suggested Fall. Any other suggestions or experiences?

Anytime is good to go to the caribbean because it's summer all year. But I think the best time to go is April or May. Why?

June - November is hurricane season. August -October is peak hurricane time. Of course the cruise wont sail into a hurricane but you have a risk of it being canceled or re-routed. Plus there is more of a chance of rain

Winter is a great time to go to the caribbean because the weather is great and you can escape if you live in a cold area. But everyone else goes at this time so its crowded and expensive

I would avoid march only because of all the spring breakers also taking trips

Early summer usually wont have hurricanes yet, but the weather gets really hot and kids out of school equal more family vacationers and lots of locals on the beach

We have cruised four times during the hurricane season and didn't have a problem. The ship will avoid bad weather if necessary. That said, there is always a bit of a risk of rain. If your luck is really bad, you might face a cancellation. But there actually are only a handful of hurricanes each season.

I would avoid cruising from December through February. Although the weather is nice, the water is a bit cooler. If you plan on stopping anywhere to enjoy a beach, you will find you can get in the water, but it's pretty chilly. In addition, the sea breeze will make the deck a bit cool as well.

The cruises tend to take place between November through to April, as the cruise boats are not required in Europe, and it is the best time to cruise the caribbean because of the weather ect.

Have a great time!!!

The Caribbean is nice all year, it was a little hot but nice in January. Cruises are cheaper when kids aren't in school though and any time that isn't a holiday. Also, when I visited Cozumel, the tour guide said the best time to visit is in February as it has the most comfortable temperatures then. Lastly, in the summer, starting at June, it is hurricane season which could divert or cancel some cruises.
