When Cubans can also travel freely as you are able to do now. Cubans can not even travel freely within their own country, not even talk or search the internet without restrictions. Btw, internet access is not open for Cubans, only for tourists at their hotels, but careful, you will be watched. If you go to Cuba you must be willing and able to accept that which you will not tolerate here. Therefore, why allow Cuba to do to you and others what you will not accept in a free country? The $$ you spend in Cuba go to the government to be used to repress their people.
Anyhow, you should go, but please, not just to buy Gineteras at Malecon. Go and dare to see reality. You might come back with a totally different view of the world and the understanding of why so many are willing to die at sea on rafts. |
