This is what I usually do, I go to travelocity.com and see all the flights and different prices and than I go to the cheapest airline directly and book through them. The reason I do that is because most of the time going through the airlines directly is cheaper. My friend was looking for a flight to PR for the end of April to May on 4/20/09 and all she could find was $600 flights, well I went to aa.com and found them for $258, but that was with stops and it was $348 nonstop. The best way to look on american is doing the enhanced search because it shows other flights, prices and different days with the same thing. I am not sure which airline would be the best from Houston, it has been a while since I was a travel agent. Also it is usually cheaper to fly Tuesday or Wednesday.
The only thing is that when you are booking for a minor you usually have to book directly with the airlines and do it over the phone, but at least you can search online for the days that are the cheapest. My daughter just flew to Chicago by herself and we had to book it over the phone with the airline |

priceline, if you need hotel too. just booked round-trip w/ hotel for a wee for $700 total. we did a TON of research and it was the best. |
