I have been to the St. John USVI 3 years in a row. Awesome place to snorkle and no commerical restruants and very remote. The only resort with beach frontage is the Westin, St. John. Or try the camping huts on Cinnimon Bay. Beautiful Island check it out. |

St Martin ( St. Maartin) is one of the best places in the carribean. I have been there, and it has AMAIZING beaches and the snorkelling is endless. The hotel I like the best is just a short walk to the beach and it is called the Eliza hotel. I would choose St. Martin, I have been to many other Islands in the Carribean and St. Martin is me and my families favorite! |

If you check out Dominica (www.dominica.dm) you will find that the island is not a commercial tourist destination but it is an adventurers paradise.
The island has many unique diving locations and I would recommend the South East (Soufriere/Scotts Head). |

Try St Vincent & the Grenadines. Good diving/snorkelling, not a tiurist trap yet so quite remote, beautiful scenery for good hiking, nice beaches quite empty.
St.Vincent and the Grenadines is renowned as one of the best sailing destinations in the world.blessed with lush mountains, volcanic-rich soil and unspoiled landscapes of brilliant flora and beautiful crystal clear waters.
The shallow-water reefs surrounding almost every island make snorkelling an exciting adventure.Abundant reef-life, normally found at 80-ft in most dive destinations around the world, flourishes here at depths of only 25-ft, with an extraordinary variety of tropical reef fish such as angelfish, sargeant majors and peacock flounder.
The perfect way to get “off-the beaten-track†and see the serene countryside, including a visit to the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary where former seaman, Orton King, saves endangered Hawksbill turtles from extinction.HazECO Tours also provide guides for various hiking excursions: along Bequia’s dazzling beaches, a scenic rural hike and a ‘Hardy Hikers Tour’ in the northeast of the island. For those interested in a day of dolphin and whale watching, outings can be arranged through several operators, including Kim Halbich of Fantasea Tours and Hal Daize of Sea Breeze Nature Tours.
The second must-see along this coast is the Owia Salt Pond. This unusual gift of nature consists of a huge bathing pool enclosed by lava peaks and ridges. The pounding waves of the Atlantic Ocean crash into this barrier and then gently cascade into the pool. Surrounded by mountains and the thundering surf, this area is an ideal stop for a picnic lunch, swimming and snorkelling.

I THINK I KNOW THE PERFECT PLACE....CULEBRA, ONE OF PUERTO RICO'S SISTER ISLANDS.THIS IS ONE OF THE CARIBBEANS BEST KEPT SECRETS.HERE YOU WILL FIND A LOCAL NON-TOURISTY ISLAND WITH NO RESORTS AND MANY UNSPOILED AND DESERTED BEACHES, PLENTY OF GOOD SNORKELING AND HIKING. NIGHTLIFE WILL CONSIST OF BEING SERENADED BY THE COQUI FROGS..PUERTO RICO'S EXCLUSIVE SIGNING TREE FROG. YOU WILL ALSO FIND SOME PRIVATE BEACH LODGING. I THINK IF YOU DO A LITTLE RESEARCH YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!

I would go to Dominica...lots of hiking, waterfalls, Boiling Lake, etc. Calibishi Lodges would be a good place to start. Fairly cheap compared to other places. It has its own little kitchen in your room but there is a restaurant and a village very close by. I heard its one of the only non touristy islands....that still looks like it did a couple of hundred years ago. Its my dream vacation |

I highly recommend tobago! It is pretty safe, there are lots of pretty beaches. Store bay is gorgeous, but it would have a lot of people. If you want seculusion, try Englishman's bay on the NW side of the island. |
