Nancy F...I'm not sure what you're talking about. Air Jamaica is one of the best deals you can get in terms of air travel nowadays. The others are all nickel and diming you to death.

Call the travel agencies. They usually know some great deals for the more popular routes. Call a few of them and see which one gives you better options.

The best airfare I found for recent travel there (end of July) was Delta for $450 round trip from LAX including taxes and fees. That is about $100 more than I usually spend, but that is kinda the way things are going now a days. I had my eyes on all the airlines for about 2 months until I finally booked my airfare about 2 weeks ago. I was trying to hold out for a cheaper fare but it is not going to happed right now. I know the beginning of September a few airlines ( Air Jamaica, American Air) are offering round trip from LAX for under $300, but you have to travel Sept 2 through the end of October believe.
I don't know what Nancy is talking about either. I have flown Air Jamaica a few times and that has never happened to me....... |

There are quite a few neat avenues out there to find dirt cheap airline tickets to Jamaica and it doesn't matter the season.
Of course, you may get better deals at certain times of the year but there are still truly great deals and specials for the taking- anytime time of the year!
What's the caveat to this? It’s simple, just find it.

Whatever you do try not to fly air jamaica-Warning to NON-USA citizens--Air Jamaica will sell you a one-way ticket to the USA-once there you will be denied detained questioned finger printed photographed and humiliated-you will be sent back with no compensation for the one way and have to buy a round trip at your expense--it is ENTRAPMENT-I am interested in finding others who this happened too to file a class action suit.... |
