Hi Sally R. I had answered your other question. There are a couple of links to look at. If you want to apply for a travel licence, you'll need to go through the OFAC and apply if you want to travel directly from the US to Cuba.
http://treas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/programs/cuba/cuba.shtml
A visa that you'll be needing though isn't one you have to get from the OFAC. It's only a tourist card (carta turista) that is provided for you via the airline, travel agency, or obtaining it at the airport or Cuban embassy. That will be the the only thing that gets stamped...not your passport ever.
If you travel via 3rd country, such as Canada, the tourist card is provided on the plane en route to Cuba. If going through Mexico, you'll need to obtain it (and can at the airport as well).
This is what the card will look like:

Have a great time in Cuba. |

if i was u i would hang back till cuba and usa are back on friendly terms, it will save you having to go completely out of ur way to get there, there are no flights from america to cuba so you would have to travel to canada then cuba or dominican republic then cuba..if u are classed as an american citizen despite having other passports you will be refused entry, go to dominican republic this year and see what happens n try cuba next year, domincan is better anyway (its easy to go hungry on an all inclusive basis in cuba as the food is limited and the same everydayyyyy) let us know what u do! i just spent 3 weeks in dominican it was fantastic! |

U.S. citizens can't legally go to Cuba without special approval based on a legitimate business need such as journalism or research. The people who tell you to go there by going to Canada or Mexico first are trying to help you break the law by bypassing U.S. customs, but sooner or later you still have to cross the border to return to the U.S. If customs officials find evidence you've been to Cuba without authorization you'll be in serious trouble. |

You can't go to Cuba directly from the U.S. |

There are unfortunately only a very few, specific visas issued within the states for visits to Cuba. These have to do with journalism, research and compassionate reasons. There are also no commercial flights out of the states to Cuba. Your best bet is to fly out of Canada or Mexico. Book a Cuba vacation package through a travel agency (at least that's how it works in Canada) and the travel agency will provide the visa. |

Go to Canada, or just about any other country to travel to and from Cuba When returning to the U.S. use your "green card" as proof of residence. I wouldn't bring back any souvenirs especially cigars. Customs may check your bags. |

The Post Office. Passport app. Follow up from there.
You may have to go to the Dominican Republic first, then jet over there under the table.
Obama will clear all that stuff up soon. Anything goes now. And I do mean anything.
Kind of like 'Cuban Cohibas.' A Cohiba is a Cigar. It says Dominican Republic on it.... but the guys that sell it SWEAR they are from Cuba. They have everyone convinced....
Is it possible they are telling the truth?
The truth is... They buyer will never know. |

Are you guys retarded?
Yes you can go to Cuba directly from the US (Miami Int'l), but I have no clue how the process is like. Check in Trinidad and Tobago about going to Cuba. If you don't need a visa like I do (I am Dutch) then you can just fly from Trinidad and tobago I suppose. |
