Jamaica's Population is just under 3 million people. over 1 million people live in the kingston meteropolitan area. Another 500,000 people live in portmore (dormitory city) nearby.

WHY:

1. Kingston Harbour provides a high level of protection for Sea ports. Historically, this protection was about huge forts with large cannons to fight off pirates and invaders. In modern times the harbour provides physical protection from hurricanes and other ocean threats, while still allowing access by very large large ships.

2. Kingston has basically become the business/commerce capital of Jamaica, this means more jobs and other social oppurtunities.

Spanish Town is not country. Kingston then Montego Bay. Why you ask?

Professor Oglevee
Kingston/St Andrew because most jobs and opportunities are available there. Its the Metropolitan area.

Amy D
Jamaica. Because, that's where they live.

All these answers make me laugh... Specially the shacks one xD

Kingston : the capital, big business jobs, very active like any large city.

followed by Montego Bay : Lots of tourism,hotels/ jobs and even more beautiful than Kingston

and then
Spanish Town: Country but with its on unique flavor
(which by the way has Jamaicans not Spanish people living there)

Jack S
I'd say that they probably live in Jamaica because thats where they live

They probably live in the city because that's where all the tourists go, when they see tourists - they want money. $5 over here is like $80 over there. It's probably almost even though.
