yes, Scott, Isla Margarita is special
we like Carriacou but it wouldn't suit everyone. The island is undeveloped and seems a bit run down but the people are so friendly. No big hotels, just a few guest houses and some holiday homes. |

Hi there, have you thought about one of the smaller islands? Antigua is fabulous, they say there are at least 365 beaches on this beautiful island although you are guaranteed never to be able to get to them all.
Usually one is enough, as long as it's the right one. Anyway have a look on this website it has lots of information on it and available villas to rent. It is such a beautiful island it will take your breath away. It is famous for its sailing week, carnival and Viv Richards, one of the most famous cricketer's ever!! It also has the most fantastic marina, man-made, the biggest in the Caribbean by all accounts. Jolly Harbour, one of the main resorts has a huge centre to cater for all your needs and I mean all from cool shops to an 18 hole golf course and there are loads and loads of different activities available.
So if you are looking for a relaxing Caribbean getaway you can have it on one of the more secluded sides of the island or you can stay near the hub bub and still enjoy fantastic beaches and wonderful weather. Oh and added to that the people are lovely and friendly.
Anyway check out this site for more info on Antigua and Barbuda, www.lushlocations.com - this is where I found out all about it first. It's always better to know about where you are going before you set out!!
Hope you have a fantastic holiday wherever you go. |

I like the US Virgin islands, prices a reasonable for the Caribbean, and they have all of the best things the Caribbean has to offer. Also island hopping is easy with good ferry service between to US and British Virgin Islands. If your looking for the Caribbean, you'll sure find it there. |

We stayed on St. Thomas (USVI) 12 years ago and had a great holiday. It's a popular island - has visits from cruise ships, and has a good market, friendly people, some good beaches, good restaurants, plenty of shopping facilities We caught local buses or taxis.
Should you go there and the restaurant Cuzzins is still open, ran by a big black guy called Mr. Bartlett, give him a big hug from his " white cuzzin in England"!
For a change of scene we were able to catch the ferry across to St. John which is quite different - a more quiet retreat. You can rent snorkels, masks & fins at the main beach - the fish around the coral reefs are amazing. |

Puerto Rico!, its the best you can do in the Caribbean, there's culture, the greatest climate on earth, the best beaches, and best cuisine. There's a lot of partying too! All year long. |
