Where is a good place to go in the Dominican? |
I'm going to the Dominican in July with about 8 friends. Im thinking about going to Cabarete but I'm still young and like to party so I'm not trying to go to a place that is just going to be quiet and not much going on. I rather be at the clubs and bars. any suggestions? Thanks |

If you want to party, goes to Santiago. The best city for partying. Every other place is only about the beach, but in Santiago you'll have fun. I'm from there, and I've been in almost every city in DR, and more than 19 different countries and still believe that the city to have good fun is Santiago. You find everything there. The only thing that is missing is a beach, and you got it 40 minutes away. |

I'd go to Punta Cana. We stayed in Puerto Plata, which was more resort-like, but our friends went to Punta Cana and said it was more like Cancun. They said it was great, but our resort was all-inclusive with alchohol where we were at too! Really, it's a great place for young people to go because the country is so impoverished, if you get all-inclusive with alchohol you'll have an amazing time drinking their beer and rum all day for free by the beach and the pool ;) |

Dude, Cabarete is perfect for what you describe you want to do. Punta Cana is more resorts (ie: controlled atmosphere). Cabarete has dozens of bars & discos right on the beach. Sosua is a 15 minute drive, and Puerto Plata another 20. |

I would suggest Punta Cana. There are great resorts there, and if you are looking for parties and night life, definitely that's a great place to visit. You can have fun at the resort night shows, and then they make a little party at the lobby until midnight. The most important is that you never visit a night club or bar alone.
You can also visit Puerto Plata, or the capital Santo Domingo.
