Where is a good place to vacation in the Caribbean?

There are five of us:
Two kids, Two adults, and one senior.
We have been to Costa Rica, Cuba, and Mexico.
I was wondering where we could go that will not break our bank account but is a good family location. Preferably something like Costa Rica. Any details and personal experiences, or review, would be phenomenal. Thanks!

Puerto Rico! Perfect location! Plus, it's an American Territory, so money is US currency and no need for a passport. There is TONS to do and see-El Yunque(rain forest), Arecibo(world's largest radio telescope), San Cristobal and El Morro(Old Spanish forts/castle), Tibes & Taino Indian Ceremonial grounds, there are two bio luminescent bays and there are tons of places where you can book kayak trips to the bays at night. There is a zoo on the western coast in Mayaguez, Bacardi distillery. If you go get a book on a walking tour of Old San Juan, there are tons of interesting things to see in Old San Juan alone. You wouldn't regret going to Puerto Rico- Isla del Encanto9The enchanted Island)

Ocho Rios, Jamaica is beautiful.
There is so much to do there, for kids, parents and even grandparents. It is something you wouldn't forget.

Antigua!!!
Stay at Jolly Beach great for kids...lots of activities are on all day.
The price isn't too bad i remember it being quite expensive but it was all exclusive: Food - there lots of fancy restaurants that you can eat at for free. Actives e.g pedal boats, sailing, banana boat riding. And so much more.
The sea is crystal clear and warm so you can snorkel for hours.
I can guarantee it will be a great holiday.

We have taken many family vacations there. Our favorite family destination was an all-inclusive resort in Dominican Republic, which is the top tourism draw in the Caribbean. There are so many things to do at a good all-inclusive that you can easily stay there for a week.

If you prefer a more active vacation and get out and about, then a good list includes Bahamas, Cancun and Jamaica.

But our preferred family vacation in the Caribbean is a cruise. You definitely get the best value for your money, the least expensive overall vacation and a chance to see several islands in one trip.

Since you have been to Costa Rica, Cuba and Mexico I assume you like lots of nature and the best island for that would be Dominica the " Nature Island" or Grenada "The Isle of Spice"
Both islands offer Rain Forest, many historical sites, mountains, excellent scuba diving, Waterfalls and nice beaches (more in Grenada). Plus the locals are very friendly.

You will not find the high rise resorts, casino, big night clubs or private beaches in these two islands and that's what I find make them so special.

For more information check out grenadaexplorer.com & dominica.dm

I live in Antigua and love it... you may want to look at coming here. The Antigua and Barbuda International Music Festival is coming up June 13th and 14th... and you can even stop by the marina and buy me a drink... he,he,he....

The best part of being in Antigua is, most AmeriKans have never heard of it... so they don't tend to come here... It's the best kept secret on the International scene and the list of celebrities on this island at any given time is very long... which is why they come here.

Go to Antigua. Its a great place for couples, or families. There are lots of hotels from the very posh celebrity hotels to the affordable mid-income ones. Visit the sites below for more information. And remember the beach is just the beginning.... there's much more too do.
