Where is a great, inexpensive all-inclusive resort ?

Some say the best bargain in Jamaica is Club Ambiance. However, there is more than cost when considering where you want to stay. Some resorts work hard to make your stay fun filled while others specialize in relaxation and romance. Some cater to children while others don't allow kids over 14 or 16. Still others are very much ADULT oriented. Some resorts have great beaches while others have little or no beach at all. These are just examples of questions you should ask yourself before deciding on what kind of resort you want.

When you have answered questions like the ones above, go to TripAdvisor.com and you can research. For example, type in "Jamaica" in the search area and you can read about every resort in Jamaica. You can read the resort amenities and policies, read trip reports written by previous visitors, view "candid traveler photos" that some of those people have posted, and ask questions in the "forums" section. It is a great website to research trips. Oh, typical cost is also listed for each resort so you can get an idea on how much the trip will cost. Have a great honeymoon!!

Right now if you check Expedia, Point Village in Negril has rooms for between US$145 and US$175 per night. Negril Gardens All Inclusive Resort also has rooms but for about $168 and $196. Good luck and Welcome!

I would recommend Laguna Mar Resort and Casino. I've been twice so far and have found them to be an excellent all inclusive experience.

All inclusive starts at 11am when you first check in but after that it doesn't stop until you check out.

Amazing breakfasts start at 7 :00am and end near to 11 am, lunch from 11:30 until 5:30 and dinner starts at 6:30 and ends near to 11pm...

Food galore, you'll never go hungry, given that it is a honeymoon and you may not want to leave your room. You should know room service and food ordered through room service are not included in the package.

All drinks are included including alcoholic drinks... however the twist is that the hotel only offers Venezuelan alcohol with the package...so no Johnny black, Moet etc... however the alcohol flows like water.... soft drinks and fresh fruit juices are available at all bars.

There are 9 pools to choose from my favourite being the slide pool!! there are kiddie pools, a wave pool.

Beach is beautiful but not really for sea bathing but the beach huts with the beds and pillows are beautiful & comfortable ... a real treat , at an cost of about US15.

Staff speak a smattering of english and are very well mannered.

Disco everynight, a different live show every night by the olympic pool. Last time they did a rendition of the little mermaid.... fantastic.

Entertainment staff are wonderful and pose for pictures... you see them all over the resort during the day...in the most outrageous costumes!!!

their website www.lagunamar.co.ve, you can reserve your room online and save a bundle on travel agency costs.

Also Margarita is known for its shopping and with the bolivar slipping against the US$ things are very reasonable. (Check out Sigo, Rattan Plaza)

Where ever you decide to go have fun, relax and enjoy being a couple.
