Thats like asking where the McDonalds is...they're everywhere.
There are Jerk shops which are in town, close to the port...and there are jerk carts ( barrels ) that ppl sell from. You'll have no problem finding either. |

nooo jerkys is ok but it's like going to island grill or mcdonalds, you need to try one of the street vendors selling it (don't worry you will find one!)
Hope you enjoy your cruise and montego bay!
Edit: i've had no problems with eating jerk chicken from road side jerk shops! just wouldn't recommend jerkys the food is bland. |

Jerky's Bar and Grill is perhaps the best and in your case the closest jerk chicken restaurant in Montego Bay. The address is 29 Alice Eldemire Drive, Montego Bay. It's perhaps only about 2 miles away from the port and it is FANTASTIC!
****Street vendors can be very good but I do know of people who have suffered from food poisoning. It's great going 'ethnic' but we're dealing with unlicenced people serving food in dust, car pollution and in the open and so it is a risk. Besides, unless things have changed (having lived in Montego Bay) these vendors usually come out in the evenings. I'd be very hardpressed to be looking for a street vendor in the middle of the day knowing I'd have to go back to the port shortly.**** |
