Jamaica!!! The perfect destination for an all-Caribbean experience! The Sandals hotels have great all-inclusive packages but any hotel you choose the service is just simply Jamaican! Reasons? All that you wanted = romantic settings, wonderful beaches and incredible food, music and entertainment! |

Good thing that you have Barbados on the list, because I highly recommend Barbados!
Beaches: Aqua/crystal blue water, white/sandy sands. ;)
People are friendly. And you'll not be in the Hurricane Season which runs from June 1 to November 30, just in case you didn't know. GRRReat weather. :)
The Coach House has delicious food but then again, there are a lot of places that provide great food!

I'd say the Dominican Republic, but only around Puerto Plata. I taught in a little town nearby named Sosua where accommodation is a llittle cheaper, but they have all-inclusive resorts there too. From Puerto Plata, you can visit "real" DR villages & get caught up in festivities and crafts and wonderful music. Hey, they'll even teach you how to dance Meregue!!! Punta Cana is so "Americanized" that it's just like going to a beach town in Florida... you don't experience anything that you'd not experience by staying home.
I wouldn't go to Santo Domingo either because of the crime. It's a very old city with wonderful buildings and historical sites, etc., but the crime makes it less desirable.
All beaches in the DR are lovely, white sand, but I hear they have not been kept as clean as most "gringos" appreciate. The locals will tell you where the out-of-the-way beaches are ... less likely to be mucked up. Have a fabulous time! |

Puerto Rico
Beaches are great and not that crowd in December.
Food is really good, and in December is even better because of the Hollydays. Every one is happy celebrating!
If you get tired of the beach scene, there is a rainforest, caverns, El Morro, and a lot of nice places to visit (all of them at 20 minutes from the beach) And is a US territory, so you don't need passport and you can use the dollar. |

Jamaica! Sandals Negril is our favorite all-inclusive. Great scuba diving there if you like that. All-inclusive is great, no wallet needed no surprises. Have you tried the sandals web site or tripadvisor.com? Good info there. |

Bermuda is supposed to be cold and windy during December so I wouldn't venture there.. I am also using my miles for a trip in December and I think out of the list Belize sounds the best. It is supposed to be very romantic, has great places to scuba dive or snorkel, has jungle tours and ancient ruins. The beaches are supposed to be great as well as the locals. It sounds like there is a variety to do there as well as relax in a beautiful atmosphere! Good Luck!!! |
