Aruba, Aruba, Aruba!!!!!!!! Love that place, it is outside of hurricane belt.....rarely see's any rain, and is a very humid/hot island all year with little fluctuation in temperatures. The people are wonderful, they wont bullshit, cheat or mistreat you, they treat you just like guest. No crappy sales people trying to hawk cheap crap on the streets or beaches, the law only allows selling of souvenirs to be done in appropriate places. Oh and the water is perfectly safe to drink, never worry about that. One caveat: if you don't like desert climate/local........and want more tropical, then Aruba isn't for you. Stay at Renaissance, they have private island and boat picks you right up in the lobby of hotel, its 5 minute ride from hotel........for hotel guest only, (food/alcohol served from large tiki style huts) they have halfway decent food on this private getaway and plenty of alcohol, servers serving you on beach. Dont forget to check out party bus, it bar hops with dinner from 6 to midnight, dropping you off at your hotel. |

Try Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Negril Jamaica, or St. Lucia. |

I would say your best bet would be Kingston, Jamaica. Its hip, young, fun, and they have great food. If you are in the mood for adventure I would recommend Haiti. Haiti has some of the world's beautiful, untouched beaches, great caribbean cooking, fun and loving people, party scene is not so much. I would also recommend Espagna, fun club scenes, great foods, fun people, plus you can visit other areas in Europe if you are willing. Travel and enjoy life *life is too short not to enjoy* |

I second the Dominican Republic vote ;-) |

I would suggest the Playa Dorada region of the Dominican Republic. Its great at that time of year and has a mixed crowd, but the scene is hot and the bars/clubs are great fun.
Alternatively, go for Cuba, particularly Varadero. Montego Bay in Jamiaca, or of course.....head for Cancun in Mexico where it is awesome no matter when you go !!
Have a great holiday !!!!! |

The best place in the Caribbean is Anguilla, without doubt! The beaches have been voted No1 in world by the Discovery Channel. The people are friendly and welcoming. If you want to spot a star or two, then Anguilla is one of hippest places in the Caribbean for the rich a famous to come to. The food on the Island is out of this world, you won't be disappointed, regardless to where you dine. Go to Anguilla and see for yourself. |
