The english speaking island of Dominica not to be mistaken with the Domincan Republic.I
It was Rated as the 4th most peaceful place in the world.
It is not overcrowded and overcommercialised.(making it the best kept secret of teh Caribbean-(we are branded as the Wahle watching Capital of the Caribbean and rated #2 best spot n atlantic for scuba diving and snorkelling by reader's choice magazine. bet you didnt know that)
Also there is a wide variety of private villas/condos nestled in the lush forest away from it all -ill give u some websites that will help u in choosing ur accomadation be it eco-friendly ,hotel,guesthouuse wahtevr..
There are many relaxing things to do in addition to ur beach realxation like going and relax at one of our 365 rivers or lakes or waterfalls or hiking or jus sight seeing.
We dont have the traditional white sand beaches but that dont mean that our black sand and unique Honey coloured beaches which are deep in bays away from the hustle and bustle arent just as good.
I may have you kno that the island of Dominica was the place where most of the Movie Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3 was filmed..including that beach where the black pearl ran aground...on the island with the savages.
Remember we are not to be msitaken with the spanish speaking Dominican republic.We are Dominica the Nature island situated 15 32' north 61 18' west.inbetween the 2 french islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

Every where will have crime darling - Trinidad & Tobago is your best bet Trinidad is more livelie whilst Toabgo is more relaxed you get a mix of both travel between island are easy

Grenada - all the way! I have been to every island in the Caribbean and this is the one that I would return to again and again. The people are so friendly. The food is great and the island is BEAUTIFUL. It's a very relaxing place.

Bermuda is the safest of all the islands if thats what you are looking for, but all the islands have good and bad points, Tobago is also wonderful, but if you are looking for nightlife and beaches then probably Dom Rep or the Bahamas..

providenciales in the turks and caicos islands is the most relaxed place i have been to in the carribean. Perfect white sand beaches, unspoilt by over tourism. very small island. has a golf course, and a few shops and bars... not much else ! try beaches turks and caicos for a totally relaxing 'non-harrassing' tropical escape. i hear its great for scuba diving too !

Button Bay, Jamaica. It's in Treasure Beach on the SW coast - not many tourists at all.

I've been twice in the last 2 years, and plan to go again this summer (I was there over New Years).

You can take a puddle jumper over to Cuba for the day if you like, too. The flight from Jamaica is less than an hour.
