Where is your "soul island"? |
I think this will be fun. Tell me where your "soul island" is and why you feel this is the place you belong.
I will go first. My "soul island" is St John in the USVI.
I love the hilly terrian, beautiful flora, locals, culture, isolated beaches, aqua clear waters and food. The vistas are awesome. Something about the island sets me free.
It's your turn.... Additional Details I'm enjoying all your answers but I can't pick, so I will leave it up to you to choose the best answer. Thanks for participating. |

My sould island is Jamaica. So far I have been to Montego Bay and Negril. I loved them both, but definitely prefer Negril.
The water is clearer and warmer, sand is so fine you cannot pick up a single grain, The hills are so green and plush, and the people are really nice and down to earth.
Each time I went to Jamaica, If felt as if my soul had been cleansed. It was just heartbreaking to me when it was time to go back home. My heart is definitely in Jamaica. |

I would have to say Haiti because I lived there 2 years and have often thought about returning. There is just something about Haiti that I have never felt anywhere else I have been in the world. |

I have to say Jamaica, I have lived here all my life and I have travelled to other islands and there is something magical about Jamaica. Nothing like looking out the airplane window and seeing the island below. The food, music, people, landscape, and the culture overall. The only thing I would change is the level of violence by a few on the majority. If we only knew what a really special country we have. I LOVE JAMAICA |

Barbados is my "soul island" - I have wonderful friends and boyfriend who live there - in other words, the locals are friendly.
Food are a bit different to taste, and that's a good thing for something new to try. I love shopping in Bridgetown (if you really know where to find, you can get a pair of jeans shorts for $35.00 BDS), famous for its duty-free. The beaches are gorgeous, weather is also fabulous! And I can go anywhere on my own safely -- You gotta love public transit that charges $1.50 BDS each way.
Barbados is where I can safely call home. :) |

Mine is Haiti. I was born there and lived there for 18 years. I go home every summer. There's something special about this place not only because it's my country but also because of its people. No matter what people say I love it. I am ready to be live in joy or suffer with it. it's my alma mater.Haiti represent yeah Darling!! |
