Where should i go for Spring break? Negril jamaica or cancun?

Both are a lot of fun, but very different.

Negril has white sand beaches, reggae bars, and a laid back attitude. They have many parties set up for spring break. Negril is not as built up as Cancun. The clubs are very different. The clubs in Cancun are very modern looking, techno thumping, foam parties, etc.. The clubs in Negril are open air, with the exception of the Jungle. The All Inclusives are a good way to get your daily food and drink already paid for and only have to pay for drinks when you go out for the night, and day. It may not be even worth it for you to do an all inclusive as you may be able to scrounge meals for cheap and stay in a room with a fridge so you can just grab drinks at the supermarket.

Negril- Slow paced and relaxed. No buses, only route taxi's or private cabs.

Cancun- Fast paced, modern and has a public bus, as well as taxi's.

If you want to party, go to Cancun. It's way wilder there than Negril. If you want a better description of the things you can do there, here's a link to help you out:

I have been to Daytona Beach, Cancun, Bahamas and Dominican for Spring Break...By far, and I mean farrrrrr, Cancun was the best!! If you go, you have to Stay at "Oasis Cancun" this is spring break central, don't believe me? Just Google it. I have seen celebs in concert and on the beach there! Fat Joe, T.I, 50 Cent, Llyod Banks, Fergie, Paris Hilton, Pauly Shore, Young Buck, Nina Sky, Steve-O, DJ SleeVe the list goes on and on...Go during the second week of March, like March 11-18 or something like that. No more thinking, you will have the time of you life, 100%

I would say Cancun... Negril is awesome but you'll have a better spring break experience in Cancun

If I were to guess, I bet you would like jumping off of cliffs into the sea. If that is the case, I would go with Negril. Blue Cave Castle is a cheap hotel with great swimming. Negril is the best swimming on the island. Stay on the west end of Negril, eat at The Rock House, The Hungry Lion, or Just Natural. Those are our favorite places.

I just booked Jamaica because they have some really incredible deals on all inclusives right now. Try cheapcaribbean.com ( That's where I found our deal.) Just click on "deals" at the top of the home page, or enter in your own destination through a search on the site. (There are alot of deals for Cancun, too.) , keep in mind that you now need a passport to travel to Mexico and the Caribbean if you're traveling by air. However, if you live in New York state you can apply for an "enhanced" license, that allows you to travel to these places ( and it will only cost you $40.) I'm not sure what the other states have available. Probably worth checking out, though.

I think you should save your money for college. Spring break in a foreign country is a way to seperate girls from their panties and drink and display the "american" no control attitudes. If you want to spend some time enjoying nature we have many wonderful National Parks with incredible scenery and wonderful hiking. Do your parents know you want to go to a foreign country for spring break? Money is tight in most third world countries as it is in US. You should really consider saving money or spending it domestically to help our economy. Guess why the airfares have increased??? US GOV trying to get us to spend money here in the states since the big EURO spenders aren't coming here.
