I'm sorry, but I disagree. I think Paris would be great. The French do not dislike Americans. They dislike STUPID Americans who come into France acting like they own the place and thinking that the "Rude French" should cater to them. That's what the French dislike. If you act polite and make an effort to treat them with politesse, that's all they ask. Don't act like a stupid tourist, and you won't get treated like a stupid tourist. (That holds true anywhere... I live in a tourist town in the US and when the tourists do stupid stuff and are rude, the locals treat them accordingly.) I'll get off my soapbox now. |

Jamaica for the music, exotic foods, friendly people, tropical weather and panoramic views. For those who were not aware, Jamaica has more than fantastic beaches. It also has a national dance theater, fine art exhibitions, places for poetry readings, concerts, zoo, waterfalls, botanical gardens, some of the most rare birds and flowers in the world, historical Georgian mansions (Great Houses,) and too many things to list. Jamaica is a Caribbean country that offers something exotic. Paris is an old European city that offers a different side of life. It would be unfair to compare the two, and I can say this because I am familiar with both places. It boils down to personal preferences at a given time. |

Personally, I like the tropical scene. I would go to Jamaica. I have been there three times and really love it. |

LOOK OUT!

I would say go to Paris if you want to see historical scenes and shop and go to better places. You can go to Jamaica if you like the beach scene and they have nice places too but not as France. Your choice. |

Depends on when you plan to go. The off-season in the Caribbean can be fantastic. No crowds, free upgrades, great rates!
Europe is really expensive given the Dollars weakness vs. the Euro right now.
I would go to Jamaica. |

That's kind of hard because both are totally different. I guess it depends on your purpose and the time of year. Jamaica is really nice and laid back, plus the dollar goes further. Also it's great to go somewhere warm during the winter, would be perfect for a relaxing winter vacation. Paris is also very nice and has endless sightseeing. It would be an ideal vacation for the spring or summertime. I can tell you from experience, it's no fun at the top of the Eiffel tower in the winter. I went in January and it was very cold. The Parisians were pretty helpful and friendly, but the city is very expensive. The fact that the dollar isn't worth much doesn't help either. If you go make sure its warm and you have plenty of spending money. |

Paris, no doubt. The parisians are not rude. They actually are quite funny and sweet. My husband and I had a great time in Paris. The coast of France, near Normandy, is really a beautiful place for a drive. There are so many cool things to do in Paris. I never understood why people are so stuck on snubbing Paris/France. Leave politics out of your travel plans. Paris is really beautiful and fun and exotic. We met some really super nice french folks and enjoyed the locals alot. It's not the French that are snobs, its the Americans. |

I am Jamaican so a little biased, but even after travelling a little Jamaica is still my favorite place. There is more to Jamaica than beaches. There varieties of flora and foliage found only in Jamaica. The history of Jamaica is also very interesting-Rose Hall Great House, Devon House, Port Royal, Bob Marley tour. The canopy zip line tour, climbing Dunns River, jumping at Rick's cafe, blue mountain tour. Drinking -Appleton Estate tour. So much to do.
Paris would be a different experience and you won't spend as much of your vacation on a plane, if you come to Jamaica |

It depends on the time of year. If you go to Jamaica you have to worry about tropical storms ruining your plans. I have been to Paris and the people were nice to me. It is an amazing city with many cultural things to see. The Louvre itself takes a couple of days to see, then there's the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. To me Jamaica would be boring after a day or two of the beach but it really depends on what you want to do.

Without a doubt, Jamaica. There isn't anything to do in Paris, Tennessee or Paris, Texas. If you are talking about visiting Paris, France--you have the French attitude to put up with which destroys any vacation to that country. |
