Where to go in Jamaica? I'm lost!?

Hello! I am thinking of taking a vacation in Jamaica. The things I would love to do are snorkel/scuba, river tubing, some kind of jungle excursion, and of course chill on the beach!

I really would like to stay in a place with a great downtown area with food markets, lots of locals, clubs, etc. Which place would you suggest for me? Montego, Negril, etc? Please help!! Thank you !! :)

Definately Montego Bay. You'll find EVERYthing on your list there within arms reach.

EDIT:
Ochi doesnt offer the same quality of NIGHTLIFE. Negril doesnt offer the same variety of interactions with local people (since its not as 'integrated' as Montego Bay). Discovery Bay is in the middle of NOWHERE. Port Antonio is good if you are nearing retirement or want seclusion.

Try Port Antonio unfortuantley Negril is becoming =just like the other areas.

Looks like I'm in the minority here. I actually prefer to stay in Montego Bay. I love the hip strip, and know I can leave the resort & go clubbing, shopping etc. I don't have to take a cab.
Also it's more central if you want to explore the Island. If you stay in Ocho Rios and want to go to Negril or YS Falls etc, you've got a long drive.

Negril has a great beach, good snorkeling/scuba diving, good downtown and lots of partying, partying and more parties. I personally don't like Montego Bay because there is no "downtown"--it's all spread out. A lot of resorts have man made beaches. Ocho Rios has nice beaches, OK snorkeling/scuba diving a nice downtown with all the items you mention. It's also closer then Negril/MoBay to rivers/jungle. Port Antonio is nice for the nature stuff but doesn't have much in the variety of clubs/night life. You might think about a resort between MoBay and Ochi such at Discovery Bay.

Ocho Rios. All the stuff you want to do are all within a short distance and the beaches are nice as well. Decent downtown area, large craft market and variety of restaurants and fast food restaurants. Plus Clubs, Margueritaville, HardRock cafe and some local hotspots. Many attractions, Dolphin Cove, Dunns River, Nature Hikes and Tubing, Zip line canopy tours. Its all right there!! Plus its central so if you want to zip off to Mobay or Kingston either is only 1 1/2 hr or so away.

Just came back from Ocho Rios in December. I liked the location. Great snorkeling right off the beach from my resort. It was better than the snorkel boat I took last time I was in Jamaica. Lots of sea life.
