Where to live in Puerto Rico? ?A donde debo vivir en Puerto Rico?

I am moving to Puerto Rico in April. I have a government job at Fort Buchanan. It is a full-time salary job. I have no children. I am 24 years old and don;t have much debt (excpet for student loans). ANYWAYS...the main question is where should I live.

good luck!!

You can live in Guaynabo/puedes vivir en Guaynabo. Also in Isla Verde, tambien en Isla Verde. Catano is also a near area from Fort Buchannan/ Catano tambien es un area cerca de Fort Buchannan.

Well I guess the most logical place is an area near the base..Like You must Know the base area is a heavy traffic area...so Bayamon...cataƱo..levitown....

will be the best choice but not the quiet or prettiest town

I agree with the others. I'd recomend Guaynabo. Close to work, and nice town. Plus it has a good irish pub.

Hola:

Saludos Bernie

Fort Buchanan is in Guaynabo PR, in the middle of the San Juan metropolitan area which is composed of the following cities/towns:
* San Juan (capital city)
* Bayamon (big city, close to Fort Buchanan)
* Carolina (big city)
* CataƱo (small town, very close to Fort Buchanan)
* Guaynabo (big city, fort Buchanan is within its limits)
* Trujillo Alto (small town)

Where to live depends on your budget and how far from your work you want to live. Most of Guaynabo areas are expensive, maybe you find a house or apartment to rent in the Caparra area. Bayamon has better prices and would be my first choice.

Pues, que bueno que hables espaƱol. Mira, depends on how much money. And where your job is. Since you really don't have any responsibilities, I advise you to live in Trujillo Alto, Mayaguez or maybe San juan, though san juan is loaded with tourists.

Maybe Mayaguez or ponce, they are really good, too.
If you are from United States then good. Prices are the same or maybe a little pricier. But mostly the same. Of course, I am just throwing suggestions at you. You should do your research about the places that are more interesting to you. A very popular place is Aguadilla. Very modern.

Now San Juan and other places close to San Juan are very luxurious! San Juan rocks!
So since you have no responsibilities then PR will be great. Great people, food and beaches. Of all my life living here I think you will like it.

People here are very warm and open! There are very nice restaurants and many theatres, Plaza Las Americas, biggest mall in Caribbean, and many more.

Good luck in Puerto Rico,
saludos, adios
