A lot depends on your idea of paradise - here is my 2 cents

Been to: Jamaica, Grand Caymen, St Thomas, St John, St Maarten, Nevis, Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia, Barbados, Cozumel and the Fl. Keys. Here are my favs and why:

St John - gorgeous, tropical and quiet
Grand Caymen - great beaches and snorkeling, good shopping
Barbados - The best beaches I've been to
Nevis - Friendly locals, wonderful scenery, no commercialism

Hoping to hit Aruba, Curacao and Anguilla on a cruise next year - always looking for a new island paradise!

All of the caribbean islands are beautiful.

My favorites:

USVI
BVI
Anguilla
Turks and Caicos
Paradise Island. Bahamas
St Martin/St Maarten
Barbados

My reason is we love to snorkel and have found these islands to be the best ones to snorkel.

Have been to Aruba, Jamaica, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Croiux, Bahamas, San Juan and of all of those, I would have to say Aruba and St. Maarten. Jamaica is nice but very slummy. Pretty much only the resorts have nice gounds in Jamaica. In Aruba, it nice over the majority of the island.

I agree with madeinczech.....BARBADOS! Been there 13 years in a row...love the people...love the place!

Grenada, for it's untouched unspoilt features, not a MC Donald's or Starbucks in sight.
Lush green, yellow sand bundles of colour from all that beautiful vegetation. It's called the spice Isle for a very good reason!!!

daisy
Tobago, West Indies. Known for it's unspoilt beauty.

carriacou is one of the best islands.it is north of grenada, went there 2 yrs ago and there were 6 people on the beach, no one to bother you with their goods and it is not commercial in regards to tourism.the best!!....and its cheap for food and drink!!...i will be building on there next year....if i can find a trustable builder!!

Hi Fan of Lapland!, For me I love the Dominican Republic because for his variety of landscapes, mountains, beaches,
highest point and lowest point of the Caribbean, nice towns, much to visit and to discover. I´m not talking about the tourist zones they are so many, for everybody´s taste......

Lollypopfizz
My mum says Tortola was the most beautiful for her, unfortunately i havent been :(

Tortola

It all depends on what youre looking for. Theres a whole lot of islands that peaople dont know about that are just serene. Carriacou, which is just a few miles off Grenada is perfect!

Emma B
Martinique, who could ask for anything else, well it was perfect until hurricane Dean got its hands on it!!

I thought Grenada the most lush....but personally I liked St. Lucia...the Pitons, huge volcanic mountains are spectacular, and the beaches wonderful.

If you have never been to ARUBA you must. It is out of the hurricane belt first of all and second it is one friendly island. The people are great, the food is extremely reasonable. I am from NY so if I tell you that going to a NY restaurant is the same money as there, this is great. There is a tremendous amount of things to do from water activities, sight seeing, eating and of course not to be forgotten the CASINOS. And lets in mind the water and sand which is blue and white always. Have a great time if you choose to go.
