Which Caribbean island has the most British atmosphere?

I would like to feel somewhat like I'm in England (I've never been) while enjoying the climate of the Caribbean. I know that many of the islands are or were British territories, so I'm guessing that some British influence can be seen in these islands' cultures (i.e. in dialects, shops, restaurants, residents and visitors from the UK, etc.). For those familiar with the islands: which island or islands would you say has the most British atmosphere? Thanks for your input!

Highly Favoured
Barbados is considered 'little England' and still have many of the customs of the British. There is the statue of Lord nelson that is even older the the one in Trafalgar square. Some of our streets have British names as well as some of our parliament. On bank hall there are , Buckingham Road, Kind Edwards Rd, Queen Mary Road, Queen Victoria Road among others.

Many English visit here as well. Some have even made their home here and there is also a British embassy. The Queen is still the Head of state.

Besides Barbados, the British Virgin Islands also has a big British atmosphere.

Antigua and Barbuda are also very British.

Hope that information helps.

Highly Favoured is correct. There are several reasons why they call us Little England.

See a previous question about similarities between Britain and Barbados for some of those reasons

Well as the first answer said Barbados is considered little England but i would say here except the accent is different. =)

Come and enjoy.

I would say Antigua.

But most islands mostly have a Caribbean atmosphere.

Andy
Antigua is really quite English and much prettier than Barbados. The beaches are beautiful as is the rain forest. It was neat to see all the school children dressed in uniform and playing cricket. Also, by American standards the coffee is lousy...just like across the pond. But the ladies seemed to be truly enjoying their afternoon tea! Antigua is also famous for having a different beach for all 365 days of the year. Enjoy!
