The Goddess
Barbados or Grenada or Aruba or Bahamas..but those places are all kind of expensive to live. If you want the looks and the fun..you gotta pay a price right?

I would recommend jamaica since I AM Jamaican..but you have to understand the culture and our attitude to life!

Barbados=fun, politeness
Trinidad=fun and merry people who are easy to work with.
Jamaica=fun, merry, aggressive..
Aruba=very kind people
Bahamas=nice people, nice place..very relaxing.
All the english speaking islands are pretty much the same..with a little less or a little more. Jamaica has bad and good qualities..some people enjoy the roughness..some people just don't want to deal with us!

My advice is to TRAVEL to each part of the carribean that interest you and stay there for a month as a REGULAR citizen and try to see if your personality and value are similar to there's..

But, I really like Barbados..it's a mixture of everything. A little jamaican, a little trinidad, a little bahamas..it incorporates all the islands in one..very good vibes! But there accent is a bit hard to understand..

Definitely not the Dominican Republic sorry. You can try the St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Specifically one of the Grenadines. The one called Bequia I have been there and if ever i have to leave to go somewhere else to settle down there is the best. It has all you require especially a non pollutant environment. Its great. I can tell the world its great. I am going back in November after i return from Dominican Republic for the Creole festival. Email me and i can prove it.

One of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Alot of people from the states migrate to St. Thomas, and St. Croix, as well as other islanders. Like some of the others said above try traveling to some of the islands to see which one best suites you.

I definitely give Barbados a go.

Antigua is very open to immigrants and a very nice place to live. Though it is small . Barbados has all that you would need but it is a bit pricier, but a very very nice island all around. I would stay away from Trinidad, It is a fun place but the crime, political and cultural wars might not be your cup of tea.

Try St. Lucia, Mexico, or one of the US Virgin Islands. My favorite is St Lucia. The best thing for you to do is to visit different islands and see which one suits your needs. The best island for me may not be the best for you.
The dominican republic is nice to visit but couldnt live there. Way too much poverty, too urbanized, and to me just not very relaxing, but the dollar does go very far.
