Each islands has its own charm. Plus it all depends on your taste.

I like Puerto Rico for shopping, & entertainment.

Dominica the nature island - for exploring and hiking.

The Grenadines Island - for relaxation, snorkeling, sailing

Grenada the isle of Spice - it's my home and offers nearly a small piece of everything from above.

Don't go to the Bahamas it really isn't worth it I've been and you might as well save your money and go to Florida. Believe me. I'd go to the Virgin Islands I hear it's beautiful but that's just me

You can visit Barbados. It is a relatively safe place and it only takes about four hours flying. You can choose AA or Air Jamaica among others. The crime rate here is low compare to some islands but you should still be careful regardless to where you go. If you are planning to come then you should book your flight early as July and early August is the annual festival-Crop Over. It might be a bit difficult getting a flight in around that time.

You should consider including the last weekend in July which would include the first Monday in August. You will not regret it. Have a look at the websites below.

You should definitely go to Jamaica! There are non stop flights on AA and Air Jamaica from NY everyday.

I'd suggest that you fly into Montego Bay where there are lots of different types of accommodations to choose from. There is also a wide range of activities you can participate in or if you want - just lay on the beach all day and do nothing. Jamaica can offer whatever type of vacation you are looking for.

....grand cayman...dude u can swim with dolphins, stingrays, and snorkle or scuba dive in the ocean and meet some moray eels (very friendly eels) and tropical fish and feed them!
and they have the 7 mile beach and u can go to hell, grand cayman, and u can go shopping there too!

St. Maarten is good. It's well developed, has a lot of great shopping, nice beaches and lots of activities. Also there are direct flights from New York.

Antigua...its not touristy its secluded and thats y lots of celebs go there like Oprah
