Which is better???

Would it be better to go to the Caribbean Islands on a cruise for seven days, or fly directly and stay for seven days?

1 Unless you live in an area that has a Port. you will still have to fly to get to where the Ship is.
2. time constraints on a cruise. most ships only stay in a Port about 4-6 hours. sometimes as much as 8. and rarely if ever stay in port overnight.. This limits any Night time activity on the Island.
2a. when you get off a ship at a port of call you have to go through Immigration. not just once but at each
Port that you leave the ship. each time is at least an hour of time.
And that's Providing your not at the tail end of a long line of say
3-400 hundred other also leaving the ship.
3.After 3 days on a ship you will have most likely run out of new things to do. Unless you are on one of the new Super liners.
4. if you want to be away from Kids a cruise is not the way to go.
The 3 Cruise's I have been on all had a ton of Children to trip over.
5. only being in each Port for just a few hours you can maybe do just one thing so there is a lot of Darn wish I would have done c instead of a or b.

Sorry for the Rant just my Observations.
Don't get me wrong I enjoy Cruise's. Alaska is a fantastic cruise.

cruise. Ive done both and you meet alot more ppl on cruises and you can see more places. but if you would rather stay in one place more than a day or two, i'd fly down instead

Depends on what U want.
If U want to see a large variety of places at the time, take the cruise. But if U want to take the time to explore 1, 2 or even 3 islands (island hopping is cheap), it is much better to just fly over and stay there.

The cruise man, no doubt about it.

Fly there!
Nobody wants to be stuck on a ship with a load of people and no space for 7 days! It can also get boring cos you run out of stuff to do. Much better to have more time there and do what you want whilst being able to BREATHE!

uuuuuuuum i personally would fly there so you can enjoy it than be on a cruse for seven days.

omg a cruise.....take me too haha

Its me !!!
Puerto Rico !!! The majority of cruisses leave from Puerto Rico !

Michel
Personnally, I would have chosen to fly there.

Take the cruise - it's like two themes in one. You can book next vacation to any island you want to see more of.

Bon Voyage, cheri!

Kj
TAKE THE CRUISE! much more relaxing! and you don't have to worry about you're ears popping on the airplane! =P

kunalsc
first time cruising, definately a cruise chk out diff islands and see which one you like and then could decide for next time which one to come and stay on. Try Adventure of the Seas it takes you Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
Enjoy either way !!!

William
The cruise is better because it is a lot more fun. On an airplane, you sit on your *** for a couple of hours. Whilst on a cruise, you have fun for a couple of days.

BleedingAngelSecretWounds
a cruise :)

see if u have the time and who is stuck with u in a cruise.

I would definitely fly myself there and stay for 7 days...You know it's a lot more fun and excitement staying in the islands than bore yourself for 7 days on board...I like cruising too but not that long..I'll run out of cool things to do..

It just depends on what you want to do. Flying straight there, you have more time to see the country and do more, on a cruise, you get to see lots of places, but don't get to spend as much time in each place.
