If you are looking for a Caribbean feel, without leaving the American lifestyle: Puerto Rico. You can use us currency, they have almost everything they have on the states as far as stores, restaurants, and fast food chains. If you are looking for an all inclusive experience then Dominican Republic is inexpensive.

Puerto Rico is nice--but the airport is a mess (at least it was 4 years ago). I really enjoyed Barbados.

Puerto Rico - lots to do there. Great food.

Jeff R - is absolutely right about the airport there. I was there last September and I thought there was way too much chaos with the way their security handled checkins and screenings.

Jamaica. The horse riding there is awesome.

Aruba is beautiful, friendly, safe and the weather is outstanding. Warm but not humid. There are lots of wonderful restaurants (be sure to try the local cuisine and avoid American chain restaurants). Also, lots of clubs and the beaches are great. I highly recommend the resort La Cabana.

I have been to almost the entire Carribean--

The Cayman Islands are BEAUTIFUL--its hasn't been run over with Americanized stuff--they won't even let McDonald's come in--

Aruba is also very clean, and beautiful

Puerto Rico is just okay--
