Like everything else, it depends on you and what you want to do. Negril has the longest beach, resorts, parties and is the place if you want to party (also has the cliff side which is a little calmer). Montego Bay is convenient but there is no "downtown"--it's all spread out. Hotels have their own beaches but there are few actual beaches. It's a good place to go if you haven't been out of your country and want someplace easy to get to. Ocho Rios is the smallest of the three but has a nice relaxed atmosphere (once you figure out where to go). Hotels here have their own beaches. Ochi is close to Dunn's River Falls but the initial drive from MoBay to Ochi might do the faint at heart in (they drive on the left, main road is just wide enought for two vehicles; bus drives about 40 klicks over the speed limit, etc.). If you are into nature and relaxing, don't forget about Port Antonio--fewer tourists, great scenic views, really relaxed climate. If I want back, I'd head to Negril (parties), Port Antonio (if hooked up with someone intimate), Ocho Rios (touristy Jamaicamon) and then MoBay (convenient) in that order. Where ever you wind up, enjoy.

Negril is real nice...better beaches, but not as much to do. I have not been to Montego Bay, but that is definately the most convenient. Negril is about 3 hr bus ride from hell from the airport. Ocho Rios is in the middle and it was my favorite. So much to do. I would recommend it.

Montego Bay, of course been the tourist capital of Jamaica has a lot more buzz. However you will also find many unique attractions to enjoy in and around 'Mobay'. The famous Rose Hall Great House, Animal Farm, Rockland's Bird Sanctuary and the once therapeutic Doctor's cave beach are examples.

A famous destination for vacation in Jamaica, Negril, almost a little country in Jamaica by itself. Negril is for party lovers they say! Whether you are young or old, Negril has something for you.

Negril also host the famous Rick's Cafe, which is considered one of the 1,000 places to go before you die and the adored 7 miles of pure white sand beaches.

Ocho Rios is considered the most romantic of the tourist destinations in Jamaica. Every year hundreds of people journey over to "Ochie" to tie their knots.

Ocho Rios is also just two miles from the world famous Dunns River Falls. The Green Grotto Caves, and the exciting Dolphin Cove Attraction are in its vicinity.

But please, don't let me dictate to you where to go, you decide.
