Which souvenirs can I bring back?

Me and my family are heading off on a cruise in the New Year to the Caribbean and I am wondering which souvenirs I could bring back.

Considering the multitude of beaches on the islands we're visiting (Aruba, Bonaire, Caracas, Grenada, St Lucia, Tobago and Barbados) I thought that some sea shells or other findings like that would be nice to bring back but I have no Idea whether you are aloud to take things such as these onto the ship or back to the U.K?

Any help with souvenir advice / information about bringing back sea shells is much appreciated!

You can bring back things like spices from Grenada, Caracas you can bring back chocolate or leather, Bonaire maybe an Amstel beer, St. Lucia a bag made out of straw,Tobago some red mango, Barbados some confectionery like guava cheese, tamarind balls, sugar cake, rum etc. you can also find t-shirts. These things are allowed on the ship but the rum they will keep until the last night. It will be good to take a small bottle of mauby or ginger beer from Barbados. you can get sea shells as well even if you walk the beach and pick them up. My daughter while digging came across a few on her land.

I hope you enjoy your visit to Barbados and you can take an educational island tour and visit Harrison's Cave, go along the south coast, visit St. James Parish Church and Highland Outdoor tours. It is best to take the tour with some more friends off the ship. For one it is much cheaper that the ship tour. You can ask the driver to drop you off in town to see Nelson Statue which is older than the one in the UK. Additionally you can go to the beach.

I am not sure about bringing back sea shells - BUT - I know that local gift shops will sell little packs of shells from local beachs. I know this because I have been to many places within the Caribbean and always brought little packs to take home. They aren't very expensive and the shells are very beautiful.

Have a fabulous time.
