There isn't really one best site. Several websites offer deals on trips. TripAuction is a good one but, again, there are many.

Before you go I would suggest you decide what you want out of your trip. For example, choose a resort carefully because that is the most important decision you will have to make. Decide what you want in a resort and then you can shop for deals. Some resorts cater to children while others don't allow kids. Still others are very much ADULT oriented (such as the Hedonism resorts). Some resorts are set up for relaxation and romance while others work hard to make your stay fun and active. Still others are more like a typical hotel and offer a room and little more. Some resorts are 5 star or more while others are 2 or 3. Price is closely related to the rating.

First decide what you want in a resort by asking questions like the above, then go to TripAdvisor.com to research what resort fits your wants. That is an amazing website to research resorts and areas. You can read the resort amenities, see trip reports written by previous visitors, view "candid traveler photos" that some of those people posted, ask questions in the "forums" section, and view the area's other attractions.

After you choose a resort then you can search for deals. Being specific in your search will make things easier. Have a great trip!

I've booked twice for Jamaica through Thomson / Lunn Poly. You can check out what you want on their website and then go into the high street shop. The shop will do web prices but if you really push they'll drop further.

Haggle hard - good luck.

I go to Jamaica a couple times a year and even though I check many differant sites I always find the best rates at www.airjamaicavacations.com Then if its a hotel I have never stayed in I check out the candid visitor pictures on www.tripadvisor.com. Great sites, great deals.
