Yo naci en Puerto Rico y mi papa y mama tambien nacierons aya. Hay muchas personas que se crean que ser puertoriqueno es ser boriqua, pues no es.
El primer puertoriqueno salio de la mixta de sange de los indios Tianos, los piratas de Espana y la sange de los Africanos.
Si usted nacio en los Estados Unidos, eres puertoriqueno, pero no eres boriqua porque el puro boriqua tiene que ver nacido el la isla!! Para que aprendan!!
Translation: I am 100% boriqua because I was made from the original mix. I was born in Puerto Rico & so were both of my parents. There are many people that believe that if you are puerto rican, then that makes you "boricua". This isn't so.
To be a boricua you have to have been born in Puerto Rico, speak, read & write your language, and have come from the original mix of the Tiano indians, the Spaniards from "mother country" Spain, and lastly, the blood of the African slaves brought over. If you're a puerto rican born in the U.S., then you are NOT a boricua. To be considered a "boricua" you have to been born on the island & both of your parents are 100% P.R. and they were also born on P.R.
