Portia.
People tend to forget that the country is still struggling to pay back the debt run up by Edward Phillip George Seaga in the 1980's. When he was at the helm, he borrowed money like it was going out of style and created this illusion that things were hunky dory. He made the nation the most indebted nation per person per capita in the world.
At the beginning of the 1980's Jamaica's domestic debt was J$2.44 billion in 1980 and J$9.97 billion in 1990.
So while things are tough you have to look back to see where the money came in, where it went out and how much interest was owed and how much was paid and what is STILL outstanding. Why do you think a country whose dollar had almost been on par with the US dollar in the early eighties is still so far devalued as it is and has made no headway. The debt has been worse than a stinking mortgage. If she does not make a go of it under a complete election cycle, then kick her a*s out, until then let her finish.

Maybe Portia need a few more years to prove herself. Bruce is kind of arrogant.

I think Bruce Golding should win, Portia Simpson is the leader of the PNP,and the PNP have been in power for quiet some time now and the country is a wreck, cost of living is very high, there are no jobs and the crime rate is waaay up, Bruce who is the leader of the opposing JLP should win so they can turn the country around and make it like it was back in the 80's.

Bruce. Portia should have proven herself by know. Instead she is taking this thing for a big joke, with all that "ordained by God" sh*t ( and that line is in a movie), and her prophet.

How is she and her government going to pay for this "free hospital bill" crap? Simple, she ain't the one paying... it's tax payers like me and you.

I don't know about everybody else, but I am sick and tired of the charade.
